LOUISE H on Jul 15, 2016
Great price and sizes gave better choices than, for example, S, M & L. HOWEVER, I ordered Tan not Navy!
Nancy Z on Jul 1, 2016
Great fit. Waist band is a little loose, but not enough to really matter. Fits well through seat and legs.

I have black pair of the schoolers that I LOVE to wear. They last, are comfy and am excited about my new Navy pair coming soon. They are thick material and great for spring, fall and winter riding.

sizing for a medium gal? I am over sixty, my waist is 34, but hips only 36, so kinda want to know if I should order up. Or down.

Please read over size chart to help select a size.
What is the difference between ladies and women's pants?
A shopper on Jul 16, 2018
BEST ANSWER: ladies schoolers are made smaller. I purchased these for my 12year old daughter. They fit well and were very comfortable.
What is the difference between ladie's and women's schoolong tights?
A shopper on Jul 16, 2018
BEST ANSWER: They should be the same, fit by waist size. These are great for everyday riding but will get holes in fabric easily. I just repair and keep on wearing. Cool for Florida!
What is the inseam for a 32R?
Lisa S on Jul 7, 2018
Are these good for summer riding in dry humidity and 100 degree heat?
A shopper on Apr 23, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I can answer for the 100 degree weather. I have bought 3 pairs of these, and I wear them in Florida summers with 100 degrees and very high humidity. They are breathable and comfortable. Hope this helps!
For a 27" waist what size should I get?
Donna J on Feb 9, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I would suggest the 30. The size chart indicates the waist of the 30 to run 28in. This will give you a little room in case you accidentally shrink them in the wash process.
Check your other measurements and compare to the size chart. The chart was true to measurements and I found it very helpful when I bought mine.
Good Luck with the purchase of your new schoolers! I have found these super comfy and am able to layer comfortably with them in the winter.
Trust this helps!
I wear a 2 / 3 size in jeans and I'm 5'1" what size would I typically wear?
A shopper on Oct 3, 2017
BEST ANSWER: there is a chart to consult, but basically, you can measure your waist and add two more inches. That should be your size. They run true to size and have a lot of stretch in them. I ride almost every day and they hold up beautifully.
Do they have belt loops?
A shopper on Aug 11, 2017
BEST ANSWER: the tuff rider schoolers I bought do not have belt loops. There is a fairly wide waistband and so you can't tuck in your shirt for formal use. But they are so comfortable, I don't care! Love these pants!
What are the sizes? My daughter wears a size 16 in girls?
A shopper on Jun 9, 2016
BEST ANSWER: My daughter wears a 26 she is in Jr. Size 0
why would you make jodhpurs green?
A shopper on Apr 7, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Why not? They don't show dirt if they are dark green and as these are only schooling jodhpurs, not for showing, you would be wearing them on a casual basis around the barn and trailriding, so why not?
i wear a size 10 in women and not sure what size would fit me?
Florica H on Mar 21, 2016
BEST ANSWER: These go by your actual waist size. So, you'd want to grab a measuring tape and measure the smallest part of your waist...usually just above your belly button. I did order up one size because they are a tight-fit. The R is regular pant length which I would stick with unless your really tall.
Does it have a good grib for riding? And for a waist of 29.25 and hips o 34.76 what size should I get, 26R?
Naya12 on Mar 20, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I wouldn't say they have a good grip, but they are not slippery. I have a 28 inch waist and a 36 inch hip and I wear a 28R. I have purchased the 26R in the past but they are quite tight and tend to pull on the seams.
Are these breeches thick or thin?
Sara G on Nov 29, 2015
BEST ANSWER: They are more thin than thick. They aren't winter so not lined but they are thicker than a tight. They are cotton so are comfortable. I wear them in spring and fall when the temperature is anywhere between 50-70 degrees. I hope this helps!
Do they run small, large, or true to size?
Sara G on Nov 29, 2015
BEST ANSWER: If found these breeches to best fit someone with a wider waist than legs, just slightly. I have a hourglass shape (a fat one, alright?) and the waist is too big, but the legs fit alright. Also, these are not for those taller than 5' 7".
sizing, I wear size 14-16 in jeans what size would I wear?
Pamela H on Nov 4, 2014
BEST ANSWER: The 34R would probably fit. You might try measuring your waist to make sure.
do they run small?
Sydney M on Jun 8, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Hey Sydney! I own two pairs of these, and I would say they're incredibly stretchy, but they probably do run a little bit small by jeans/pants standards, but pretty honest by breeches standards, if that makes sense. I normally wear a 30-32 in jeans, but almost always order breeches a size bigger. The 34s fit me perfectly. I also have a pair in a 32 and love them too, but I noticed they seemed a couple inches *shorter. But the waist and size otherwise felt about the same. I ride 3-5 days a week, and both pairs are still going strong after two seasons. You'll love them!
Are the knee patches cloth?
dressagerider75 on Nov 20, 2013
BEST ANSWER: Yes. Same material as the pants. Not really patches. But these are great inexpensive comfortable pants. Very basic but have held up well for me. Elastic waist with a draw string. I definitely recommend these for inexpensive schooling pants.
