Great economical boot!
I bought these for my granddaughter who is 14. She loves them so much she wants to wear them everywhere she goes, including school! Fortunately they live in a rural area North of Seattle, so she does not look so much out of place. They will come in handy for school this winter when it is not raining buckets.

Excellent boot for training
Fits true to size and is a comfortable paddock boot for everyday wear. I am more apt to be ok with my daughter tromping through mud and muck in these versus her first pair that cost over $100 at a local store. Great boot for beginners and more experienced riders who need a simple, inexpensive training/lesson boot.

Very good boots
My daughter is happy wearing them. At the beginning they felt a bit tight (narrow) but after some use they are fitting better. As far as durability it is too early to give a review as she has only worn them for less than a month. Comfort: 4
Perfect for the price
Can't speak on durability as I just received them, but right out of the box they were soft as butter and the insoles are super squishy and sooo comfortable! As most other mentioned, they do seem to fit a bit wider than most riding boots I've tried, but if you have a wider foot (like me) or just want a pair of boots that you can wear thick socks with than these are definitley for you. I've always been a fan of the lace up styles as well and am glad to have found these, feel like most paddock boots have zippers these days. And COME ON, the price is too good! Comfort: 5
so far so good
This is my first pair and so far they are comfortable. They are just a tad big, but I'm wearing a heavier sock and by the time my riding lesson is done, I don't notice them being too big. They are easier to keep clean too. Pleased with my purchase, especially for the price. Comfort: 5 Durability: 4
Boots fit well.i wear a size 8 and ordered a 8 .No complaint so far.for the price I think it's a good deal.can't say how long they will last.my friends thought they were leather. Comfort: 4
Love them
I did not expect the quality of the shoes for the low price I paid. Even my riding teacher was impressed. I have VERY wide feet and ordered 1/2 size bigger and they fit fine. I think they are designed to accommodate heavy socks and they would even do that for me. Comfort: 5
Perfect for lessons
These boots are perfect for lessons! I ordered them a half size big and they fit great with regular socks and heavier socks. They are super comfortable and perfect for the price. Comfort: 5
Thank you, great boots.
Wonderful customer service. I will continue shopping here Comfort: 5 Durability: 5
Through no fault of yours.....
I had a pair similar to these years ago, but my feet are so changed by arthritis, they no longer work for me. So sad to have to return them, but I must. They are an awesome boot, and I highly recommend them for practicality, durability, and price. Comfort: 5 Durability: 5
Honestly I can't tell you right now how good they are. I bought them for my girlfriend and as of right now they're wrapped up and under the Christmas tree. But it arrived sooner than said and I greatly appreciated that.
Great!
I just started learning english a few weeks ago and decide to invest in a pair of boots. These are absolutely comfortable and there was no awful breaking in to deal with. Fit is true to size and fits slightly wider but will be great for thicker socks! Recommend! The brown is very nice looking and I get compliments on them all the time. Comfort: 5 Durability: 4
OK as a starter boot but runs small
I'm always a 10 doesn't matter what shoe I buy, flip flop, boot, heels, running shoes, doesn't matter I'm a 10. This 10 does not fit at all. It probably would be an OK boot for a kid who was going to out grow it fast or for an adult who isn't certain if getting back into ridding was right for them or as just a spare pair to have a round just in case but I wound up at my local tack store buying a much nicer pair of Ariats. Comfort: 2
Lovely Boots For A Great Price!
I got these boots a few years ago and recently had to retire them due to my feet getting too big. In the years I wore them they were very comfortable to ride in and to work in. The only thing that I didn't like were the laces but those were easily replaced. And for any Doctor Who fans these would be great to wear for an Eleven cosplay as they are very simmilar to what he wears. I'd order two more pairs in a heart beat for riding and cosplay! Comfort: 4 Durability: 4
Buy something better
I'm a size 7 in almost every shoe, and occasionally 6.5 depending on the maker. After reading some reviews, people said they run small so I got a 7.5 size in these boots. They are too long past my toes, and way too tight around the top of my foot that it cuts off the circulation to the point where my foot feels like its burning, and the heel is so hard and non flexible that when I ride it both boots gave me huge blisters. THESE BOOTS are HORRIBLE! I really wanted these to work because they seem pretty durable. But I HATE them. Please save your money and buy a better brand. These boots should not be this tight and run this small. I would need a 8.5 just to have some room to walk in these. Which is 1.5 sizes up from what I always wear. I'm upset because I thought they needed to be broken "in" so I wore them to the barn. Huge mistake... Now I can't return them :( Comfort: 1 Durability: 3
Five Stars!!
i recently bought these and they are perfect! the sizing was good. they are stylish and durable! i dont have to worry about getting them dirty because all i have to do is wipe them off! i definitely recommend this product. and i would buy it again. Comfort: 5 Durability: 5
Great price; be wary of blisters.
I went with this boot (over the more expensive "real" leather) mostly because of the other reviews and the price. Although I don't regret the purchase, you should know:Initially, they were very comfortable except the stiff part over the ankle. I was a bit hesitant to keep them, but didn't think the cost of returning them was worth it. So, I gave them a shot. I work with horses and ride only once each week. Well, after day one, I had a blister on each heel so bad that I had to wear flip flops for a week waiting for them to heal. (Good news: the stiff ankle wasn't an issue at all!)For week #2, I wore my Nike work boots around the barn and just put these boots on to ride. They worked perfectly!So...if you are looking for a very inexpensive pair of boots just to ride in (not work in)...and you aren't riding a LOT, these will work perfectly. But, if you are looking for a pair of boots to wear for hours on end, I would definitely invest in the more expensive leather. Comfort: 2 Durability: 3
Not Bad.
I've had these boots for 2 years, and they are now falling apart. They lasted me well, and I love them! I am picky about what I put on my feet, and sizing for me is sometimes difficult. I ordered a size 7, and they fit me GREAT! My only complaint is that lace-up paddocks annoy me, so I will be buying the zip-up ones this time. Decent product for the price.
Replacement boots
My On Course boots finally kicked the bucket and were too tight, and I didn't want to spend a lot of money on boots I wear only once a week riding at the barn. I bought these in Mocha. I was very surprised at the fit and comfort. The style is exactly what I wanted, and they are not a bulky boot. They are very comfortable and soft which is important since I have bunions. I like the fact that they aren't leather because I'm showering horses and my boots are soaked by the time I'm done. Plus the mud after it rains - I just wash them off. If I even get only a few years out of them I'll be happy. For the price I'll just buy another pair! (I did, I bought the zip paddocks in black)
Ok product
These boots looked great when I got them.I was happy with the comfort and sizing. The laces were thin but they were usable and it didn't seem to be a problem. The only problem was they ripped very easily after one wear. I called customer service and they are shipping new boots that will hopefully last long enough to show in. They look great and feel great, but if your not super careful they will break greatly too.
Eh wasn't impressed
These run large (mine are way to big and I wore them so no returns for me) and they are pretty flimsy with no lining at all. Great price but if you cant really wear them then who cares what a great deal they are. I didn't expect anymore then a simple cheap pair of boots and these didn't meet those low expectations.
AWESOME BOOTS!!!!!!!
i received as a present. these boots are great and super comfortable. They come in to awesome colors.they have held up for 3 years, the only reason im getting new ones are because my feet grew :)
Amazing
price can't be beat and quality is outstanding. I was a bit leery about buying these bc I was sure they would be of poorer quality... boy was I wrong! I couldn't be happier. Good job tuffrider and horse.com!!!!
Expensive look, cheap price
I absolutely love these! They are so cute and comfy to ride in. I love the detail on the front. Price can't be beat! I even got a complement from an old stable hand on how nice "the leather" was looking on my shoes today! I ride in these paired with the tuffrider grippy half chaps, which I also love!!!
I Love these boots!
I orderd these in black, and I love them! I'd recomend ordering up a half size. I am really glad that I did, otherwise I wouldn't be able to wear warmer/thicker socks. The quality is excellent, especially for the price. I am thrilled.
Decent Economy Boot
I purchased a pair of these boots 4 years ago, and they finally kicked the bucket. I think for an inexpensive synthetic boot, these are pretty good quality.

BEST ANSWER: Hello! The paddock boots that I bought have very little tread on the bottom. I still have enough grip when wearing them with the stirrups. Mine are comfy and I like them. Hope this helps you!

Rubber sole with little dots that make a slight indentation. Stitched on sole.

I usually wear a size nine. What size should I get?
BEST ANSWER: I bought these for my daughter. I ordered her usual size. They are a perfect fit and she says they are very comfortable. She has worn heavier socks and they have still been comfortable fit.

The 11 were fairly true to size but if you want to wear warm socks I'd get 9.5
I would get a 10 so you can have comfy socks on, as they can be a tad snug.
