Good product for the price
Pros: it was an inexpensive way to cover my rather shiny helmet for the few shows I ride a year and the cover fits my helmet very well.Cons: the fabric is not what I would consider black velvet, it is more of a black fake fur. I don't care for the fabric, particularly, but for the price I can live with it.I would recommend to someone like me who is only looking to use it for a few shows, but if you're showing seriously look for something better.
Bought this for daughter's helmet because of the price. Ended up not using it and buying another cover from another seller due to the lack in quality/overall look of the material. Works exactly as described but just not the look we were going after in the end. Probably more of a personal choice/preference.
need cover for my helmet
My helmet is brown and I was looking to show so I ordered a cover to change to a show helmet. Did the trick and fits my helmet perfectly. Happy with the product.
Out of the bag falling apart
This product is at best okay. The button on the top is very loose. The ribbon on the back was ripping and I had to repair it. It was cheap and you get what you pay for. It is still usable but is very cheaply made.
Horrible product!!! Stay away!!!
While described as "velveteen"...this is more like stuffed animal fur!!! It is a far cry from show worthy, and should be either: (1) discontinued, or (2) described appropriately!!! Waste of money!!!
Does not fit helmet
Cannot recommend this product, looks ridiculous on the helmet and does not fit it at all.

This is a great accessory to add to your helmet purchase. It allows the option of changing color of a helmet for shows or whenever black is needed. Best of all my 8 yr old granddaughter loved it.
Cool cover!
I got this cover for my daughter's riding helmet. The helmet she has is a pink Troxel helmet, also from Statelinetack. Come Spring she'll be attending her 1st class and will need a black helmet. This is a very affordable way to let her have her pretty pink helmet and still have a black one for shows. The only thing that wasn't too great about it was the button is very loose and because it has a long "tube-like" button hole, I can't re-sew it.

I was skeptical that an inexpensive cover would look ok, but it looked great! Completely covered my Troxel schooling helmet with no issues. Highly recommend!
Little Small
The cover wasn't quite big enough to cover my daughter's helmet. It worked for her show but most covers we gave purchased in the past weren't as skimpy.

This is of a much higher quality than I expected for this price. It looks great and fit well on my daughter's helmet.
Not As Great As Before
I bought one of these last year, but lost it when I moved. I ordered a new one and this one is half the quality. The velveteen has a big, thick nap to it, and the part that goes over visor is crooked. I will work to finish out the season but I'm disappointed.

It was a little hard to get on but I got it on so if you get it and it is super hard to get on don't worry it has to stretch a little but otherwise I wore this for my first pretty big horse show and it looks great i have a hunter green irh helmet and it makes it look like one of those other helmets that are just velvet I think it is great!

I bought this helmet cover for my 7 year old to use when showing her pleasure horse. I have seen helmet covers sold in tack stores that cost a lot more but don't look as nice as this one does. I'm very pleased.
Highly Recommened
I highly recommend this cover it will work on all helmets. We usually wear these covers at shows. Don't rip, can put it in the washer, and color doesn't fade. This is sooo GREAT!!!!!! Highly Recommended.

I got a White Troxel Schooling Helmet, and I love it!!!! I, also got this cover for shows. It's great its been through rain, and my helmet barely got wet.! it's great. Fully recommended.!
Good helmet cover
I have a troxel schooling helmet. With this cover, the part over the visor likes to try to ride up, and the part where the helmet and the visor meet is exposed when you have it on, so you might need to keep adjusting it. Looks so good that someone watching you ride will think you're wearing a real show helmet until they get too close.

My instructor makes me use this cover at shows and it looks AWESOME. I use it on my blue Troxel (not sure the exact style :P) and it looks better than a lot of show helmets. HIGHLY recommended. Great for shows! No one will notice it is a cover!

I have had this helmet cover since late November '09. It has held up really well! I just had a fall, and the button popped off (I landed on my head and in a group of bigger rocks, so this is to be expected) and it ripped at one of the seams. I used it for the rest of the day with a quick patch up job between classes, and Im coming back to this cover for a new one!

Helmet cover not universal size
We bought this just before a show and discovered too late that it didn't cover a standard size helmet. It looks like it was made for a junior helmet size. Very disappointing and a bit embarrasing as well. I will have to buy another one now.

This is an amazing helmet, it looks like a velvet helmet i saved about $60.00 with buying this! All the Judges think its a real velvet helmet! But this is not so good if you have a helmet, that its visor can fall off!!!

BEST ANSWER: Hi, this cover was purchased for my daughter who was 10 years old at the time and she wore an International band youth helmet size medium. Not sure how that measures up to your helmet. The cover does have a lot of give and looked fantastic on.

It fits my Troxel almost perfectly it is a little too snug on the visor but once it stretches enough it stays in place

It is pretty stretchy. I bought it for my daughter’s small helmet. I thing it might slide of a large helmet if stretched too much.
