Wahl Body Brush Stiff

Will work well to get mud off lower legs/hooves/boots etc but I find the bristles too short to be much use especially while my horse has his winter wooly coat. It doesn't seem to help shed out much or get all the loose hair the curry has lifted.

I have a sensitive TB who hates being brushed and makes faces, but tough because he needs to be groomed. So I've been trying to find something firm enough to get the dander out of his coat but gentle enough that he doesn't fuss too much. This isn't the brush. It's well made but the bristles are only about 1 inch long and the length and narrowness of the brush (I guess they're thinking it'll cover more area and be faster too use) just makes it awkward in my opinion. If I'd picked it up in a shop I wouldn't have purchased it but now I guess I'll hang on to it for grooming future hairier horses.

I LOVE THESE BRUSHES. I HAVE OWNED HORSES FOR 45 YEARS. MY HORSES LOVE THIS BRUSH ON THEIR FACE.I HAVE SMALL HANDS AND IT FITS PERFECTLY IN MY HANDS.THE LONG THIN BRUSH IS PERFECT TO USE ON LEGS, FETLOCKS, AND HOOFS.

I recently bought this brush and its amazing. It gets all the dirt and mud out of my horses coats.

I got this because it's a larger brush that would take fewer strokes to cover the same area. It's very well made and bristles don't fall out. My main gripe is that hair gets stuck between the bristles. I think this problem could've been avoided if the bristles were more dense (right now there's a tiny gap between each cluster of bristles) or if they were a little longer. I find myself trying to tap out the loose hair during and after every use, which is something I've never had to do with other brushes. But I also have the rest of the matching WAHL brushes that are all very good, so I'm not going to replace it.

Brush fits nicely in your hand but the bristles are very short and very stiff. They flatten out and the feeling is awkward, not smooth. Feels like I'm just rubbing the rubber brush part against her coat. Very disappointed.

Very light weight and seems very durable. The grip is very similar to Oster's. My only complaint is that this brush is very long in length compared to other brushes. The only reason for a 4 star rating for price is another website offered a promo for buy one brush get another free - I bought the stiff brush for $9.00 and got this tail brush free.

Got this brush to battle thick patches of mud on my horse's body, mane an tail during spring and fall mud season! Works great to remove mud with ease, less streaking of coat with mud dust as I brush with it, easy to use if you have small hands. My biggest complaint is that the brush insert fell out if the base the very first day when I was cleaning the bristles with a curry comb. It is annoying but pops back in with ease when it does happen. Works well on saddle pads too.
