This collar has worked the best for our cribbing TB. We have worn out the first one!

We have a large Quarter Horse that is perfect in every way except he cribs like a fiend! We are getting worried about him - this collar got great reviews everywhere we checked. It was very expensive in our local TSC, so on-line I went!

The Weaver Miracle Collar stopped a horse that we own from cribbing, and I am ordering another one for a friend and showing him how to use it on his horse. The horse we bought was such a serious cribber that his top teeth were almost completely worn down to the gum line, and it was interfering with his eating and his ability to keep weight on. These collars are humane, easy to use, and really work. He has been free of cribbing now for over five years after wearing it for just over a year!

this halter is supposed to be the best. seen one last week on a high dollar horse at a sale. the owner was not ashamed to have it on his horse. said it works. my wife paid 8k for our fence, she dont want a horse bitting on it.

Hoped to reduce our mare's cribbing. Didn't make much difference. Caused a few rub spots, tried the fleece covers but they were not very durable (see my review of that item). After a few months, the metal fasteners on the cross-piece gave out, so we quit using it (it wasn't helping much anyway). Also - the large size is very large. The mare is a Belgian/QH cross and wears an XL fly mask. The collar fit her, but on the second to smallest buckle hole, leaving 6" of strap dangling.

I've bought these for years - they are not as well made as they used to be but they are reasonably effective to decrease cribbing

how to measure?
A shopper on Dec 25, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I have a thoroughbred and followed the sizing chart and bought a medium. He is about 1125 lbs with the narrow typical thoroughbred head. Plenty of room on the leather straps.
Small – Small Pony, Weanling, Yearling (200- 600 lbs)
Medium – Large Pony, Cob, Arabian, Average Horse (600- 1,100 lbs)
Large- Warmblood, Draft (1,100- 1,800 lbs)
What are the dangers of wearing the cribbing collar 24/7?
Jean C on Sep 2, 2017
BEST ANSWER: My guy is a wind- sucker - doesn't need any object to suck in air. He has been wearing this type of collar for about 4 years. It only comes off when I ride. I don't see any dangers with wearing 24/7. He has developed a couple callouses by the seam/buckle.
My horse wears a medium halter, would I get a medium in this?

BEST ANSWER: I have attached the sizing on this item.
Sizing:
Small – Small Pony, Weanling, Yearling (200- 600 lbs)
Medium – Large Pony, Cob, Arabian, Average Horse (600- 1,100 lbs)
Large- Warmblood, Draft (1,100- 1,800 lbs)
What is the standard horse size for cribbing collar, medium or large?
A shopper on Feb 15, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Large. My quarter horse has a average size head and a medium would be way to tight. Go with the large.
My horse wears a medium halter, would I get a medium in this?
A shopper on Aug 7, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes that is what I did and it fit perfectly.
