Been borrowing a friend's tie down strap. They aren't expensive and I hope not to need it for too long, but it does help with the head tossing.

My breast collar is missing the center strap connecting it to the girth. Is this something that will work or what should I look for?
Beth S on Aug 6, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The tie down doesn't attach to the collar but behind or through a loop. This is to be safe in case the horse lowers head he could step over the tie down strap. You collar should have a strap to keep the collar from applying too much pressure on the wind pipe.
How can I attach a tie down to a dressage saddle?
Mary B on Sep 28, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Tie downs are usually attached either to the center chest ring on a breastplate, or buckled onto the girth/cinch between the front legs. Which is done depends on the size of the horse and the length of the tie down.
