Samanna B on Oct 12, 2015
I'm hoping the smart cinch will aid in the grandchildren learning to tighten the cinch on their own since this large pony is a little round in the girth.

I love the smart cinch. The neoprene part is worn out; where can I purchase just the neoprene section ?
A shopper on Jul 12, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Unfortunately we have just the full Smart Cinch available. You are welcome to call our Customer Care team at 888-809-0751 for assistance to find the best price for you. We are available 8AM-6PM weekdays, Eastern time.
Does this cinch have felt on the underside next to the horse? I bought a smart cinch several years ago that has felt on the edges and underside and now the felt is hard and causing sores on my horse. Somebody suggested the neoprene, but didn't know if this is just neoprene. It looks a lot like the one I already have. Thanks for any info.
A shopper on Sep 22, 2015
BEST ANSWER: They come both ways, I believe; I have the ones without felt. But this girth rubbed my young horse between the girth and right front leg, and so I discontinued use. My older (and larger) horse has this girth, and he does fine in his--plus it has held up well. So, I think it's a nice, easy to clean girth, but it also depends on the horse. I went back to mohair for my younger, smaller horse.
how do you determine size?
A shopper on Oct 26, 2014
BEST ANSWER: To measure your horse for the correct size, place your saddle on the horse while he's standing on level ground. Tie a piece of string or baling twine to one rigging ring, loop it under the horse's girth, and bring it up to the other ring. Measure that length and subtract 16 inches (round up to the nearest cinch size) and you'll have a good estimate of your horse's correct cinch size.
Is the neoprene a smooth flat or waffle weave?
A shopper on Jul 27, 2017
BEST ANSWER: It has a very small but distinct texture but it's not anything like the waffle treatments I've seen on other cinches.
How wide is cinch?
Brenda H on Sep 11, 2014
BEST ANSWER: The cinch is 5 inches wide - and it works great with my textan roper. It really holds the saddle in place securely with no chafing.
How do you work the roller buckle? We have 2 purchased smart girths, but don't know how to buckle them correctly....
Nancy K on Jun 13, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The directions are with the cinch....actually attached to it.
But, you pull the latigo through the top part of the roller, back through the saddle and then through the bottom of the buckle and secure with the correct hole in the latigo. If you have too much leather you can go through the top part of the buckle twice. I would suggest you google "weaver smart cinch" on YouTube and watch a video.
I'm looking for a 36 smart cinch??
Carol N on Feb 27, 2017
BEST ANSWER: This is a well made cinch and the roller on the billet side really helps ease up the cinch. BUT for my Dale Chavez which is a well made saddle the holes were too small for the belt pin on the girth to go into the holes on the saddle billet strap. We had to drill them out. The billet leather was too thick for human hand to punch bigger, so we drilled it. That's my thought on this item, hope it helps. Lin
how to measure cinch ?
A shopper on May 29, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The best way to measure what size cinch you need is to tie a piece of string to one rigging ring, loop it under the horse's girth, and bring it up to the other ring. Measure that length and subtract 16 inches (round up to the nearest cinch size) Our cinches are measures from the tip of one buckle to the tip of the other buckle.
