I just needed a simple everyday barn halter. This was convenient since it came with a lead rope.

Have them already and love them. Time to buy new ones after a couple years' use. They're still perfectly fine but Iike to purchase new ones on a regular basis. They are my favorite for all 3 of my horses.

I received one of these as a gift and I loved it so much that I needed another color for my mare!

Hi,

I'm looking to buy some inexpensive halters for my children for everyday use (so the niceer ones I just invested in for when we go to show don't get overly beat up:-)). I'm still learning about horses and how to size things and am trying to buy one halter for a Cob size and one for a Horse size. Any thoughts on how to match that up with the sizes listed for this halter?
Cambria K on Apr 13, 2014
Best Answer: I have a quarter horse with average size head for her breed and I got the "average" size. It fits her great I use the 2nd hole from the top. For the cob you would want the "small" size.

On another note if this is for kids use, this halter has no clip. So depending if the kids can reach to put the halter on over the horse and latch it themselves you may want to spend the extra $3 for one with the clip that can slip over their ears and then clip without having to latch into a hole. But either way I am very happy with this halter.

Which halter size will fit aribians? I don't want it to be too tight or too loose on my horses. I'm thinking about the average sized halter but I don't know.
A shopper on May 31, 2016
Best Answer: I think the average will work. You can tighten to get it to fit. I put this size on my smaller horses and it works fine. Look at the weight guide for each size. They run pretty true but if your Arab has a really fine head go smaller.

How small is the small? I have two Arabians and want to order a size that it not too loose and not too tight. I like these halters because I don't need a side lip in the throat latch.
Galen M on Apr 12, 2015
Best Answer: Unless your Arabs have extremely typey heads or are younger than 2, the average halters should work. I buy these for my Arabs. The small is good for a yearling or smaller 2 year old. :)

will the large size fit large draft horses?
A shopper on Jun 3, 2015
Best Answer: I don't think it would. I purchased a large for my Paint and she has a standard size horse head. Large is typically considered standard horse size. For draft the size is normally XXL or will say draft.

How thick is the material? Is it monogrammable?
Kelly W on Jan 10, 2017
Best Answer: It's like any other halter I've ever bought to be honest. Just a typical thickness.

Would Cobb be small or medium size?
Kathy F on Mar 21, 2016
Best Answer: We have Arabians so they have a little smaller, more delicate heads. I think it means medium. Small would be foal or pony.
