If you must put a bit in a colts mouth this is the smoothest next step to double reining and carrying a solid mouth piese bit.. It may take 6 months to a year ,, But thats how you get a light mouth horse.. I make old style head stalls, Called no medal head stalls.Its punch and pull with no buckles or snaps. 17 centery californo style .

BEST ANSWER: Hello. The 5 inch fits my thoroughbred perfectly as well as my quarter horse who is on the stocky side. However it does not fit my Canadian who is built like a percheron. Hope this helps! Happy New Year!
