Ratings were great, looking for soft reins
Holly S on Aug 22, 2016
I love these reins! Soft, so I can have even softer hands on the bit, and comfortable. I ride without gloves though so if they get wet from sweating horse they can be slippery in bare hands. But when dry or if wearing gloves-- great grip!

matches the bridle

I have not used my black bridle since I received these reins but I like that they are thin with nice padding to grip on the ends. I like that they are flexible.
Renita P on May 2, 2016
My trainer uses these and they felt great. Needed a new bridle for new horse.
Melissa L on Jan 31, 2016
I used to have these years ago and sold them with the matching bridle when I sold a horse. I miss them! I was since hit by a drunk driver a few years ago and both of my hands were injured by the steering wheel. I still have trouble gripping things, especially for long periods. I've been using rope reins, but sometimes need something a bit more dressy for competition, yet I can't handle traditional width reins any more. These will certainly fit the bill! And, I'm a Wintec junky!

To go with Wintec bridle.
Joan D on Sep 7, 2015
These reins are easier to grip than the hard leather variety. I never worry about my hands slipping. I have used them for over a year.

Tired of cleaning leather made the switch to wintec halter/bridle love it. Missed the leather at first but after riding in rain 3 times I was sold.

I was very dissappointed with these reins. The rubber grip ripped along the edge less than a month after I bought the reins for no apparent reason

are these rines made of leather?
A shopper on May 8, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Our trainer loves these Wintec products because of their ability to stand up to the sweat and lake water on trail rides and then wash clean for a show the next day. We have lots of heat, humidity, and precipitation here in the South and these don't discolor, rot, or hold water.
is the 54" overall or for one side of the rein?
Ellen A on May 16, 2015
BEST ANSWER: One rein is 54" so, the two reins buckled together are 108".
We love ours and several of our friends have purchased them too. They hold up well, we only trail ride so our tack lives in the trailer. Winter and summer these reins are great. My favorite thing about them is to clean them just dunk them in a bucket of soapy water, rub off the heavy dirt and rinse.
