I ride a pony and want to keep as much weight off his back is possible. These fit the bill. Much lighter than leather or other synthetic leathers.

I replaced worn out webbers.
Susan W on Sep 2, 2015
needed for a new saddle
Janice M on Jul 3, 2015
I ride dressage and my horse has a very active hind end, which makes him bouncy. Not having a bulge from the stirrup leather buckle under my upper thigh helps keep me in contact with the saddle and go with his movement better, especially the trot.
Ellen N on Jul 1, 2015
Good reviews! I have a Wintec dressage saddle and plan to use them a lot.
Bonnie T on May 8, 2015
I just purchased a Wintec close contact saddle and needed leathers for it. This product is unique and highly rated, so I was curious to try them! At this price, I thought, "why not?"

Synthetic materials don't or if they do will stretch only little. They also hold up better to the elements and are cheaper to replace when they don't.I live in the mountains and trail ride exclusively.I also picked these because they don't have the bulk of regular leathers.

How do I know what size I need? 24, 28 or 32?
Moroney R on Aug 18, 2013
BEST ANSWER: The 24 measures to be the traditional 48", 28 measures to 54 and 32" measures to be 60 I looked on smartpaks website and they happened to have it listed next to the size. lol
How do you know what length to get? I usually ride with an English saddle.
Sarah F on Dec 14, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Wintec Webbers are approximately half the length of traditional English stirrup leathers, because they are not doubled over the stirrup bar.
The 24" are usually for children, the 28" are usually for ladies, and the 32" are usually for taller adults or dressage riders.
A shopper on Apr 22, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Sizes 1" W x 24" L
1" W x 28" L
1" W x 32" L

Wintec webbers are approximately half the length of traditional stirrup leathers.
Do the hooks come loose easily when riding? - Thanks
Maggie C on Jul 16, 2015
BEST ANSWER: These are fantastic. They are easily adjusted and can be done while mounted (even one handed). I have never had these move when i didnt want them to. There is no bulge from the buckle rubbing your leg like regular leathers. The first time you use them it's a little bit tight to get the metal piece into the hole but its still super easy and easy to change the length. The loop that attaches to the saddle goes on and off easily too. I love these and will never go back to regular leathers.
Are these adult sized or children sized? - Thanks
A shopper on Jul 16, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Yes, 32 would be adult size. Pretty much your inseam length with some adjustment either direction. Our kid uses 28 and small kids would use "kids". We like these to eliminate buckle "lump" under the thigh. Only negative is you tend to get a bit more free movement of feet/legs which a judge will watch for.
For the wintec webbers, is one order a pair of webbers or just one?
Sandra W on Jan 4, 2017
BEST ANSWER: It is a pair of Webbers. They are so easy to use, I love them!
do they come with the little sleeve to cover the hook?
A shopper on Jan 2, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I had these webbers on my Wintec saddle. They do have a sleeve that covers the hook and makes them look sleaker.
i am 5'2" and not sure what size to get? what do others recommend? thank you.
Miya J on Jan 5, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Hi Miya.... Webbers were recommended by my granddaughter's ridining instructors. The reason is she is 14 and 5'8"and all legs still growing. Webbers have more holes for "1/2" the adjustment of traditional stirrup leathers. This makes it possible for the closet to prefect adjustment for a correct "leg". Also she leases, does not own her own horse. Webbers allow her to ride correct in all saddles. Good luck!??
Exactly how do these fit on the saddle bar? Does anyone have a photo they would like to share, as there is one comment that where the "webber" attaches it sits below the "bar skirt"?
A shopper on Mar 29, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I admit to being somewhat ignorant about terminology but I will attempt this answer. I have the Webbers Leathers of various lengths installed on two English, one endurance and one Aussie saddle. There is a loop in one end of the leather strap. This lop slides over the stirrup bar under the skirt of the saddle the same way regular leathers do. The stirrup slides on the leather and the clip shown in the photo on the site hooks through the slots in the back of the strap. It is really quite intuitive once you see it. I did discover that you must slide the loop end through the stirrup slot rather than the clip end. I do not have any photos. Hope this helps.
How do I decide what size to buy? I am 5'6 tall. Thanks
Joan M on Oct 3, 2016
BEST ANSWER: You basically double the size and it's the equivalent of regular leathers. For example the 24" is similar to 48" regular leathers; 28" to 54"; 39" to 61". If it helps I'm 5'2" and the 24" was good for my height.
What are these made out of, and what's in the core? Also, in the pic it seems you can see the holes all the way through, or are they smooth on the near side that lays against your leg?
Kylie L on Mar 2, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I can't tell you what the core or surface are made of, although I'm sure the wintec web site can give you that information in exhaustive detail. I can tell you the holes do not go all the way through on my webbers, both pair are several years old but I don't think that has changed. I love them, they feel invisible under my legs, they don't seem to stretch at all, and the finish is very nice. I use them on both synthetic and leather saddles.
I have a Wintec synthetic saddle, would these be too hard on the flaps where they're leather?
A shopper on Sep 25, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Not sure I understand your question. If you are using Webbers on your Wintec, they shouldn't cause any damage to the flaps because the flaps are synthetic too (I think). I use Webbers on my leather Kieffer, and Webber Pros on my leather dressage saddle; I do think they rub more than leather ones would, but I use them anyway because they are SO much more comfortable. The Pros are softer and rub less. If your Wintec actually does have leather flaps and you're worried about rubbing, you might get the Bates Webbers as they are leather.
What length should a person 5'3" order?
Brenda M on May 18, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I'm 5"2" and have 29" inseam when I am barefoot. I ride in 24" Webbers. I have them set at the 4th hole from the longest position so there is plenty of room to go either way. If you buy them too long and adjust them at the top you will feel the T Bar buckle at the top of your calf and it may scrap the flap on your saddle. I have been using these for years at home and shows. I love them and don't use leathers with buckles anymore.
How do I know what size to get?
A shopper on Aug 29, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I'm 5'10" and have both the 32 and 28 in stirrup leathers. The 28 in leathers work better on my AP English saddle than my dressage saddle. When riding with a longer leg on the dressage saddle, I am on the next to last hole on the 28's which is tough to use until the leather gets broken in. I would recommend measuring the length of your current stirrup leather from the bar on the saddle to where it loops through the stirrup. This will give you a good idea of the size you need.
can I use regular leathers with a wintec dressage saddle or have to use webbers?
A shopper on Jun 17, 2016
BEST ANSWER: You can not use leather on synthetic. You must use synthetic leathers on a synthetic saddle, other wise it will make a wear mark on your saddle. Hope this helped. ??
Do I need to use wintec pro Webber's for my wintec pro or can I use these?
Amanda M on Mar 16, 2019
BEST ANSWER: These should work. Sometimes the leather covered ones (where you can't see the holes) are too tight to change around often.
what length do I need for the Wintec 500 Dressage saddle. The flaps are 17". My inseam is 27" to my ankle, less the 6" for the stirrups, so I calculate that I need 21" to the top of the stirrup. That leaves 4" between the bottom of the flap and the top of the stirrup, so double that for the loop, and the length I think I need is 29". Thinking that the size 1 (28") would work. The size 0 would be too short, and the size 2 would mean that the t-buckle would be under the flap, something they frown on. Thoughts?
Patricia C on Mar 28, 2019
BEST ANSWER: The stirrups are half measurements, and usually are reflecting from height of rider. So the size 24 inch is a 48 inch long.
difference between Wintec webbers and webber pros?
Margaret H on Sep 12, 2018
BEST ANSWER: The original Webbers are made of smooth synthetic leather, and the Pros are made of synthetic Equi-Suede, They both have webbing cores.
