i was reading the reviews just now and i havent had any of the experiences that people say they had with the boots i personly think there great qualltly and i wear them all the time i strongly recomend them um... if you have shorter legs " like me" they get a little scrunched up at the bottom but it actually doesnt look to bad and makes my ankle more flexible haha there really easy to clean and my legs get kinda sweaty but i love them they also have a clips on the back for spurs great price to

I had devon aire synthetic boots before these that lasted for over 3 years but I handed them down when I got these. They are still being used and in better shape than these. I have used these for maybe 20 times and they already have holes in them. not worth what you pay for them. I only $40 and they aren't even worth that. they are very comfortable but that is about it. cheap zipper that sticks and they fall apart

i love theses boots! great price and they are comfy to wear. the calves do run a little large but they break in really fast! they are low maintenance and don't need to be cleaned very often. the shoelaces are just a little short and wear out. i have bought 2 pairs so far and i will soon buy my 3rd!!!

If you're going to beat on these boots, you're going to be out of luck. I ride about 3 times a week & work in the barn. 4 months. That's how long they lasted me before coming starting to come apart at the toe. The calf was wide & the left boot never really broke in properly. However, while I did receive several compliments on them, these are better suited for the casual rider - at best. Also, maybe you could use them for a show because you have no other choice.

I've had these boots since I showed IHSA in college. And I graduated in 2007. You can't beat the price - if the calf doesn't fit right, have them altered. Mine fit great, there's no break-in period, very little wear, and they clean up perfectly. I think I've had to change the laces out twice. No ripped seams, no pulled soles. Absolutely no complaints.

I got these boots a few days ago, and was very disappointed. They looked nice at first, but when I tried them on, they fit terribly. I got a regular size 8, and the foot was fine but the calf was huge. Though the price is great, I suggest investing in a better pair of boot.

The regular size is too wide for my calves and I have had these a year and they still haven't broken in properly. Great books for the money, just wish they fitted better.

I just bought these boots about a month ago and today was my first ride in them. They really hurt but I was expecting that since it was the first time riding them. I didn't have a problem while I was riding until I went to get off my horse and the zipper literally blew on my right boot around my ankle. They look nice and such and I may continue to use them but they are a waste of money.

I got these boots since i had a show the next day and my dog ate my old ones, I thought they were comfy and would break in easily, and they did, but they were NOT worth the money, even though they are cheap, the stiching came apart after one day,and they're all torn up now, and I've only had them for a month. There the worst boots, and I will never buy a pair like this again.

I bought these boots as a pair to use around the barn. They're super comfy and a good pair of starter boots. Fantastic if you're hosing horses all day (kinda water proof). Unfortunately, they DO NOT breath. SO, if it's hot, you're legs will sweat like crazy! Went back to leather boots b/c of it.

These boots are a little harder to break in because they're synthetic material instead of leather. So you cant use oil to soften them. If you wear thick socks and walk around in them it helps, but if you don't wear thick socks they hurt at first.
Once they're broken in though these boots are great. I got them for Christmas a few years ago and they're just now needing to be replaced. For the price they're great quality and super easy to clean- just use a wet cloth. They do run big though.

I went through two pairs...the heel peeled apart from the first one after a one-hour ride, and then zipper popped out of the second pair after about 3 trips to the barn. Yes, they are comfortable and nicely waterproof, but who cares if they fall apart? I am honestly shocked these are apparently rated so highly.

Great boots, good quality, very nice looking etc. They are too short for me though and not even by a lot. I wish that had tall sizes because these are quality boots :( If you usually wear tall then don't bother with these.

My friend gave me these boots when she bought a new pair of tall boots, so THANKFULLY I didn't pay anything for them. Because they're terrible. The synthetic material scuffs super easily, the calves and ankles are huge, and the perforation at the toe cap split along the holes, leaving the toe cap practically flapping around. The price may be good, especially if they're a gift, but these boots honestly suck.

I bought these boots not too long ago. The first day I wore them to the barn I had just began lunging my horse and the zippers blew out in both boots at the base of the ankle. I exchanged them for another pair and have had nothing but problems since. The stiching has frayed and strings hang from all down the back of the boots. The toe of the boot tore open at a show. I am currently sitting with one boot on because the zipper blew out in the same place and I cannot remove the boot. Invest your money on a better contructed, pricier pair of boots.

I bought these in December 2010 for my daughter. She didn't start using them regularly until late April. They are really comfortable. BUT, less than 4 months of regular use and the equileather has come off on the inside of one boot and is starting to come off of the other boot. I will not buy these again.

These riding boots are good quality boots! They are good for training, riding, and shows.I first got these a year ago and are still working for me! At first, they may hurt but once you start wearing them and getting use to them, they will feel very comfortable. Once you wear them for a while, they may start to crack under the laces but they will not fall apart! They are good quality boots for anything involved in riding. They are waterproof, and easy to clean! If they get dirty, give them a little polish, and they will be shiney and clean! So, if you are looking for a good quality boot, these are the ones to buy!!! :D

I have had these boots since 2009 and have been wearing them a lot, in the mud, in the rain, riding, showing...
They have held up really well. I have NEVER had any problems with the zippers falling out or what so ever. They are really nice boots to look at, fit nicely, are comfortable and can get a nice shine.
When I wore them at first they hurt my ankles a lot but after the first ride they were super comfortable.
Now, the leather is cracking up a little bit underneath the laces and around the zippers, even if I take care of them really well. I'm now changing to a real pair of leather boots but I have to say these are great starting boots. Also, if you aren't finished growing and don't want to pay a huge amount of money on leather boots that you will have to sell in a year, go with these saxon boots. They might not be the best quality ever but they hold on quite well.
Overall I think it was a great deal. Didn't pay much for boots that lasted over three years without any major breaking.

These were my first pair of tall boots I even used them to show. I never needed to break them in they were so comfortable from the start! I would wear them all day without my feet ever hurting the downside is that they didn't last me very long. Id say they lasted about 5-6 months but I ride almost every day and I wore them doing barn chores. I'm actually buying another pair! Very worth the money!!

I bought these boots as my first pair of tall boots. They are very pretty and are EXTREMELY comfortable...but the zippers break so easily and for no reason at all. I was just walking around the barn a couple weeks after purchasing them and they zipper just fell apart on one of my boots! I have had the zippers fixed 3 times, and it just does the same thing over and over again. They are very pretty and great show boots, and very comfortable, just sucky zippers. No other way to put it. I love the saxon brand of boots as they are extremely comfortable (like wearing tennis shoes!) but if this is what it has come to I will now be buying a different brand of boots.

I got these boots several years ago when I outgrew my leather ones. I have LOVED them every second up until recently. Living in WA where it's still raining in May, they get pretty wet and muddy. When I was mainly riding western and only showing English in the summer this wasn't a problem but I've begun riding English about 4 days a week and I can tell that they are starting to wear. They scratch/dent easily and the Equileather is starting to come off in the creases. However, I have never found a more comfortable tall boot, I could go all day in these no problem. They were also incredibly easy to break in. I have not had any of the zipper or sole problems mentioned in some of the other reviews. So all in all, not a schooling boot (especially in wet weather), but very comfortable and looks great for the show ring.

Okay, so I ride about 3 times a week on a QH mare. She's a little touchy with reins and with heel. So not too much pressure. I was looking for a new field boot for all around riding and came across these, for the price they were great! Then I looked at the reviews, they seem to be a great boot, I just ordered them, if the majority of people think they are a waste of time & money please give me your feedback! Thanks!

I have had them for a year and they are ok...breaking them in is so easy! it only took 2 days of riding in them! realy easy to clean and they hold up good if you only show in them.the calf size is realy big. I have a realy small calf and the smallest calf size still didnt fit...and they look werid on my leg. I dont like how the laces stick out so much...you get what your paying for...kinda cheap boots.

Like others have said, I have had these boots for 6 months. I ride in them twice a week and they have started falling apart. The "equileather" is coming off, and on one boot, the sole is detaching from the base!
These boots are not good for schooling since they are ruined so easily. However, if you want to have another pair of boots just for shows, get these! They do not need to be broken in (which is awesome), they look nice, and they are easy to clean.

Same as others here. Initially loved them...easy to break in (1 day)...thought they would be low maintenance..but they break down VERY easily around the sole....and start peeling apart...
I was actually silly enough to think it was me...so bought another pair in a year and the same thing happened to my second pair - disposable boots for six months? Save your $$ and buy decent pair of real leather boots.

I was just getting into showing when i got these. I actually bought them from a local tack shop but they are the same boots. I HATE THEM! I've had them for 2 years and although they have held up ok for what little showing I did, they are really funky looking and hurt my ankles. They started to collapse in on mt ankles and hurt to ride in them for too long. Also the calf area is weird, they bulge out strangely, and i dont have big calves, but it makes my leg look enormous. I wish I saved for a better, real, pair of boots.
easy to clean though.

Loved them when I took them out of the box, but after that, not real sure I'm as impressed with them as I should be. Zipper is already busting out. I followed the sizing chart but they are way too small around my calves and they are a wide.
Won't be getting them again, and am thinking about selling them to someone for schooling boots

I bought these boots a few months ago and absolutely love them! They were a little stiff at first, but I used mink oil to softened them up and they broke in like a charm (and in one day). I use them for every day riding and for local shows. Great boots if you can't spend a lot of money. I bought the paddock boots for my daughter and they are just as nice. Couldn't be happier :)

I bought these boots for my 13 year old daughter. They look great and were a great price. Well, after about 5 months of heavy wear they still are not broken in. The "leather" is so stiff that it makes it impossible for her to get her heel down in the proper position. So I am looking for another pair and this time I will pay for a quality boot.

At first I loved these boots. They were easy to break in and take care of. But after about 4 months the material on the foot started to tear. So I started to only put them on right before i rode and pull them off the second I dismounted. Still after about 7-8 months of daily use the zippers blew out. I got them fixed but the zippers would only work if I wasn't wearing the boot! I spent around $50 on 4-5 zipper repairs. Such a waste of money. Don't bother getting them just save up for some high end boots.

I bought these boots because they look like leather, but don’t require the care, and for their relatively affordable price.
However I’m sorry that I did because I realized the material in the foot area was breaking down after about 40 rides. It was peeling and cracking BAD.
Weatherbeeta is the manufacturer/distributor of this product and if you go to their site you will see that they have NO email address or phone for you to directly contact them. Eventually, I did find a phone (long story) and was of course refused an exchange for the defective product. I wanted to email customer service pictures of the defective boots however, they refused to give out an email address.
Seldom does one find a company that is so afraid to stand behind their products and provide proper customer service. If I’m going to spend 80$ every 6 months to replace these obviously disposable boots, I’d might as well get myself a higher end pair! Basically, this is just a waste of money and time - buyer beware!

These boots were good for about 6 months. After 6 months of shows and riding, they became horrible boots. The "leather" started tearing off and I was so embarrased at my last show. It was the biggest show of the year and I looked like I couldnt own a decent pair of boots!!! They would be great barn boots or pre-show boots, but not show boots unless they are in great condidtion. The spur rests do help but some people dont use spurs. So they become a big pain when you go to squeez your horse and they have two pokey things on them!!! And the zipper has never gotten stuck before so thats good!

I very much like these. They were my first pair of tall boots, and I have probably worn them 20 times now, and are still in as good condition as when I first got them.
I also like that they are not leather, because they are so easy to clean. I just take a damp sponge. The best part is that they look like leather.
The only thing I dont exactly like but dont mind is that where the zipper goes up, the material is kind of ripely, but I have seen this with many zip back boots.
I am so satisfied with these boots!

When I first got these boots I fell in love with them they were a great price and fit me great. Sadly as I used them the material on the outside of the foot by the toe started to come off and the sole started to split away from the boot. I used these for about 2 months before they started to show major wear. After a full Summer of using them this past month the zipper on my one boot blew out. One zipper is completely fine while the other cannot go higher then about 6 inches up. I would not use this for shows or get one pair for showing and one for schooling.

I thought that these boots would be a great first pair of tall boots. I paid $80.00 for them. I used them twice when I noticed huge patches of the outer material coming off. Within 5 times of being used, the heel fell off of the left boot, and about half of the material on the outside bubbled up and fell off. Including the inside. They turned a funky gray color if water got on them, and it wasnt mold either.
Overall, I was very unsatisfied with this product. I do not recommend it.
Although the price was good, the quality is greatly compromised.
