I have bought these in the past and they work amazingly. They have lasted so long through reining and barrel racing and even trail riding. They aren't even worn at all. They are a great product.

GREAT buy, the purple wasn't as purple as I thought it might be, but it still looks awesome on my grey horse. Got lots of compliments on them last night and how expensive they looked. They were all shocked when I told them how much I actually paid.

what color blue are these? royal blue??
A shopper on Jun 16, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Yes, very pretty blue. I have two sets, but dont have a pic now.😊
Does anyone know the actual measurements ? I currently use small with a length of 9 inches and a width of 8 1/2.
A shopper on Apr 26, 2019
BEST ANSWER: My 1/2 Arabian-Saddlebred 14.2 hand mare has a refined forearm and these splint boots fit perfectly. I can get measurements next time I am at her stable. I am very satisfied with this product!
What is the width of the Velcro straps ? Thank you
Illydully on Mar 17, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I am sorry as the straps are 1 1/2" each instead of 1 3/4" as I originally answered.
What color blue are these?
A shopper on Apr 15, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Sorry I bought the black ones but I’m pretty sure the blue is a royal blue
CAN you use these for barrel racing ?
A shopper on Mar 12, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I would not recommend these for a potentially high-impact sport, such as barrel racing or jumping. They're very basic, essentially just padding their legs, and don't have a solid shield like your higher quality protective splint boots that you typically see for high-impact sports. I would say these are better boots for lunging and trail riding.
How do I chose the size?
A shopper on Mar 7, 2018
BEST ANSWER: It all depends on the type of horse you have, I have a 16.1 Tb and use a medium. If you have a heavy type or larger horse you may need a large. If it's a smaller breed you would need a small. The type of boots all vary so you can always return them if they don't fit.
What size are these?
Shaelyn T on Jul 19, 2017
BEST ANSWER: They were horse sized, fit my 17.1OTTB, and my 16hh TB
Does this come as a pair?
A shopper on Apr 26, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Sold as a pair.
How do they know the size of which boot i need?
A shopper on Apr 20, 2017
BEST ANSWER: You'll have to determine how large or fine boned your horse is. For my 16 hand monsters, I always use size large boots. For my normal sized quarter horse (14.3 hands), I use medium. For my 14.1 horse, I use size small (he's pretty fine boned). They all adjust with velcro so you have wiggle room if they are a little big or a little small.
How many come when purchase ?
Palafox on Apr 8, 2017
BEST ANSWER: There were 2 boots in the purchase.
Is the burgundy color more light? Or more dark?
A shopper on Mar 16, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The burgundy boots are darker. If you look at the banner on this website with the horse inside, they are closer to that color.
They are a set of two correct?
Jessica K on Jan 30, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes, they are a set of 2 for the front legs. Great boots - I have several sets so I always have a clean pair if they get muddy out in the field.
Would these work well for barrel racing?
Amira L on Jan 30, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I actually bought these to give away at a prize ride so I don't have first hand knowledge on how they perform. I have a similar pair I use on my horse when I ride sometimes and they work fine. When I'm actually competing (ranch horse versatility, which does have a gaming event in it) I use the classic equine legacy boots.
sizes for donky or mini?
Judy B on Aug 23, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I bought these as a prize to donate to a prize ride event in the area. I don't have first hand knowledge on sizing. Maybe get the smallest size and exchange or return based on how they fit your animals? Sorry I'm not more helpful.
can these be used for jumping and do they come with rear boots or are they just the front?
Rachel C on Aug 20, 2016
BEST ANSWER: These boots are for front legs only. No rear boots are included. They are basic protective boots. I think you would need something more specialized for jumping, but I don't jump so I can't say for sure.
Are these boots front or back? I personally think having just back boots on a horse is extremely stupid.
Flash on Jul 28, 2016
BEST ANSWER: These are front splint boots. Unless specified as rear or back boots, most websites selling "splint boots" are selling front splint boots.
What does the blue look like it's not showing on mine?
Jade M on Jul 22, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The picture is pretty accurate, it's a royal blue.
do these fit for front and back legs of horse?
A shopper on Dec 29, 2015
BEST ANSWER: They will fit the back, but they are only made for the front. These will ride too high on your horse's back legs, and won't provide the needed protection.
Are these front or back boots?
A shopper on Nov 5, 2015
BEST ANSWER: We use boots like these on both the front and rear. They are probably more commonly used in the front. Depending on your horse you may need to go up a size if using on the back.
what size are they?
m g on Sep 5, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I don't have a size to tell you. They fit my somewhat small-boned Quarter Horse and I have used the same boots on my Arabian competition horses. They would probably be less than suitable for really large horses like some warmbloods and heavy-bodied horses such as some Mustangs. Hope that helps.
What color green are these? Hunter green or bright kelly green?
A shopper on Aug 24, 2015
BEST ANSWER: They are usually more of a hunter green, although colors may vary slightly, due to differences in dye lots.
do they have velcro straps?
A shopper on Aug 23, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Yes. They have very strong Velcro straps.
when they say the boots come in a pair, do they mean all four or just two boots?
BjDefender on Jul 20, 2015
BEST ANSWER: It's just two boots, but I have so many pairs and I love all of them!
i have a pony that is about 13'5 hands. What is the best size for me to get him?
A shopper on Jul 19, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The pair I bought was for an Appendix Quarter Horse, about 15.2 or 15.3 hands and I bought a medium. They fit him perfectly. I used them today and it's like they're brand new. The Velcro closures helps to fit it nicely to his legs. I would probably suggest buying a small for your pony. I hope they work as well for you as they did for us!!!
what size for weanling?
A shopper on Jul 14, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I bought medium for my Arabians, so I would guess a small. They still might be too big depending on the size of your weanling.
i have baby blue bell boots, what shade of blue are these splint boots?
Madi :) on Jun 1, 2015
BEST ANSWER: They are a bright dark blue, not navy, but not light blue.
what size are these?
Melanie P on Feb 24, 2015
BEST ANSWER: They say Cob Medium but they fit my 16'2 TB. And he is not small boned - probably would not fit a Warmblood but anything above a pony and not drafty......
How would you wash these boots?
Alyssa C on Mar 23, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I used to wash them by hand either in the house or at the barn using a bucket of water and either gentle detergent or the same shampoo I used to wash my horse since I knew that wouldn't irritate their skin. I would use a medium stiff body brush to scrub them and then rinse off with a hose and hang to dry. They would probably do fine in the washing machine as well, but I would hang dry. If you use the washing machine, definitely brush all loose dirt and hair off the boots first.
Can these boots be used on your horses back legs?
Madison M on Oct 14, 2013
BEST ANSWER: Yes they can.
I bought them for my daughter so i had asked her her opinion and she feels that they can.
Hope this is helpful.
