I have this type of system in my horse trailer and love it. I bought 2 so I can hang saddle pads on every other bar for better drying and airflow. A great way to keep tack rooms organized no matter how small and you can always half-fold stable blankets and lay them over to keep organized.

expect it will store 5 saddle pads in an easy to reach, small space. Can also use this rack to dry them after washing or using.

If mounted high, it allows stable blankets or turnout sheets to hang straight down from the neck, dry out , and stay clean and not take up much space.

One answer says it is flow coat engraved, what is that? Is that like powdered coated?
A shopper on May 22, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I have a little bit of experience with powder coating and I would say this product is spray painted. (Very thin I might add) Also when it arrived it did smell like paint for awhile. I use it to hang my quilts and I love it.
How long are the arms?
A shopper on Feb 12, 2019
BEST ANSWER: The arms are long enough for a western style saddle pad, so approximately 33 inches.
What is the size?
A shopper on Feb 5, 2019
BEST ANSWER: the racks are 30 inches long and about 3 inches in between- I put 3-4 pads blankets on each-very sturdy/ have no complaints
Can this be used outdoors without warping?
Shannon H on Dec 30, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I would say yes. It's of steal and I love mine. I use it indoors but it is amazing.
Do the arms of Equi Racks 5 Arm Wall Mount Blanket Pad Rack fold back aginst the wall?
A shopper on Sep 21, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes, i believe so. I bought This rack a couple years ago and it is in the corner of my tack room so they bars are parallel with the wall anyway. But if i remember right they will swivel all the around the main bar before being mounted to the wall. It has held up great for us!
are they made out stainless?
david h on Jul 11, 2018
BEST ANSWER: This item is steel not stainless steel. It is flow coat engraved.
Is it possible to make the arms longer? We are looking to use this to store food mats that are 4 ft wide
MARCQ on May 25, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Not easily. I guess you could find some metal tubing of just the right size to slide over the tubing with at least a 6" lap and screw them together to extend the length. It is certainly strong enough to support longer tubing.
What is your return policy?

Do the blanket bars swing against the wall on either side?
A shopper on Sep 5, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The bars swing freely, lying flat against either way or straight out with each bar able to move independently of the others so you can "stagger" various thicknesses. It is very sturdy and of great quality.
Could this be mounted in a horse trailer?
A shopper on Aug 5, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Quite a bit of weight on the screws holding it to the wall. You might want to secure a 2x4 to the trailer wall and then mount the rack. I found the arms to be pretty close together for wet saddle pads, so I installed two (one above the other) and use every other arm. Powder coating is nice. Good choice for a small tack room!
Can you put one on top of the other to make ten?
A shopper on Jan 17, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The first rack would have to be near the floor (high enough so blanket isn't ON the floor) and the second one above it. Depending on how tall you are, you may find it difficult to reach. It could be done. We love our rack!
Can this be hung horizontally?
A shopper on Jan 3, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes, I believe so. Someone else at my barn did this
Second question: Would this work well mounted in a corner?
Debbie B on Dec 12, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The standoff bracket is not very deep. I think it would not be able to hold the pads in to the wall and would be a hazard sticking out in the area. If the unit was moved out from the corner about 10 inches the pads would be against the wall and be more like an open door not a hazard to walk into. Mine is mounted on a door edge on a trailer and it works just fine swinging out with the door.
Can this be hung vertically and horizontially?
Debbie B on Dec 12, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I suppose it's possible, but I think the arms will just fall down against the wall. A blanket rack/hanger might work better for a horizontally mounted rack for you. Hope that helps
How thick are swing arms?
A shopper on Dec 2, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The arms are 1" diameter. I have a winter blanket, either medium or heavy weight, plus a fleece cooler on each
arm and there is no problem with holding these items securely. Hope this is helpful!
what are the dimensions?
A shopper on Oct 18, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Size:
27" length
31" swing arms
Do the arms swing the full radius ?
A shopper on Sep 5, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes they do. This has been a wonderful addition to my tack room. I would definitely order it again if I was in need of more blanket space or recommend it to a friend.
is it available in black?
A shopper on Apr 2, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I'm sorry, it is not.
Is this sturdy enough to hang wet turnout blankets on?
Barbara M on Feb 11, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I have hung 2 or 3 wet ones at a time, including a super heavy Northwind that's longer than average. So at any one time I may have had up to 3 "wet" (maybe not soaked completely through) 350 gram insulated on it with zero problems.

I think if you ran into problems it would not be from metal of the rack itself, I think it would be having a secure enough attachment to the wall.
How long are the bars?
Leslie K on Dec 28, 2013
BEST ANSWER: The bars are 30" long. This is a well made, stout piece of stable equipment and just what I needed for saddle pads.
are the arms movable on this?
lisa w on Nov 13, 2013
BEST ANSWER: Yes. Very well made and easy to take blankets off and on
