I've used these before and they area great calming tools. What could be better than a two- in-one deal for your horse? (Food and Peace of Mind). Durable too.

I manage a 35 horse boarding facility. The Tough 1 Slow Feeder is the only one that holds up. I recommend these to everyone.
Kerwin T on Jan 9, 2019
I've tried other slow feeders with the nylon back and they keep tearing. I then purchased this item and so far it's been sturdy and allows for slow feeding and no tearing so I've now purchase another.
Sonia M on Dec 11, 2018
I purchased these for the hay-wasters in my barn...only after trying the less expensive, hay nets that they immediately tore straight through. These, however, are wonderful. They're heavy weight and hold up well against even my most destructive horses. I took the straps off and just use a double end snap to close the top and attach to the ring on the stall wall. They're perfect and hold plenty of hay.

I absolutely love these feeders for my goats, they are so strong and durable.

Looked to be good quality and it was on sale at a great price. I saved over $40.00
Greg L on Nov 27, 2018
Easy to fill, keeps horse busy and he eats slower with less waste on the ground so less dirt in what he eats. Great for travelling or just at home in the barn.
Julie H on Nov 27, 2018
Excellent price and easy to fill
Chasitie H on Nov 26, 2018
We use these in our shelters outside for 16 horses. They outlast any slow feeder that we have used and are large enough for two flakes of timothy. Also have plenty of rings for clipping. Very strong and durable!
Sandra S on Nov 13, 2018
wanted to try a hay bag that has webbing rather than nylon horses tear that stuff apart
Jane M on Nov 13, 2018
We love these, easy to pack, great for the high-line. I have one as an experiment. It passed my expectations, I may get another for the trailer. Durable, I don't use the bottom strap though - it is removable. Kinda pricey but worth it.

Because my gelding will grab the entire chunk of hay and fling it all around and then walk all over it......very little actually gets into his belly.
Kitzi F on Nov 7, 2018
I bought this for trailering to a clinic. It was actually a bit larger than I anticipated but it was perfect. I also used it in the stall to feed. My horse is large and eats a lot of hay. This easily held 3-4 flakes of hay. This bag is much safer than the regular hay bags I have used. Also very much easier to load. It also seems very well constructed and strong. I definitely recommend this bag over any others I have used in the past.

I already use these and they are terrific. They really do a good job slowing down the piggiest eater, and they last and last. Great in barn or trailer!

SERENA G on Sep 20, 2018
A friend has it and it has lasted so much longer (going on a year) than the other hay net I had which only lasted a month.
Karen B on Sep 17, 2018
Good to feed horse recovering from state of starvation that came from kill pen. feeding every 2 hours
Bobbie H on Sep 16, 2018
I like that it's heavy duty, and has a lot of flexibility in how to hang it - hopefully it keeps my gelding busy for hours!
Stephanie A on Sep 14, 2018
needed one like this for an experiment. ( a horsey experiment.) I do wish the holes were smaller though.

I need a slow feeder for my horse in the evenings so that she is content in her stall during the night. She has recently destroyed a twine slow feed hay net and I wanted something a little stronger. The reviews for this say this product is sturdy so I thought I would give it a try.
Marilyn Valeri C on Feb 23, 2018
I love the ones I have. Adding one for an older horse.
Angela K on Feb 17, 2018
Great price and wanted te type of hay bag that has this type of opening rather than the string type.
Judy K on Feb 4, 2018
my horse keeps breaking regular hay nets, this had good reviews for quality. Also it looks a lot easier to load than a normal hay net
melissa c on Jan 29, 2018
I currently have the Kensington slow feed hay nets. My OTTB gelding has managed to shred them in about 6 months. My instructor said these hay nets are stronger and her have held up really well. Going to give them a try!

how much hay will one of these bags hold? Is it easy to fill? easy to hang? what is it made of? I like to feed my horses with slow feeders out in the paddock but the cheap hay bags are often hard to fill so I am looking for easier options. Any advice on these bags would be great. Thank you!

BEST ANSWER: Holds 1/2 square bale
How much hay can this hold?
Andie on Nov 9, 2014
BEST ANSWER: 3-4 flakes from a 3 string bale
can the top be securely closed?
A shopper on Jun 27, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I took off the straps that came with it. There are three sets of rings at the top. I then used snaps to close those up. I keep my horses hay on the floor/ground, so to keep with this tradition I tied twine tight around a corner post in the stall and then used another snap to connect. This way the horse will not drag it around when it pulls/yanks/paws at the bag. I have found this process to keep the stall cleaner, less mess and waste. Hope this helps:)
Is the purple completely purple, or purple and black (like the royal and black)?
Lindsey C on Nov 12, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I have two of the purple and black.
Do they make a smaller one?
Barbara W on Aug 18, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Sorry, I do not know if they make a smaller one, but I have used this bag every day for over a year now, and it still looks like new. I was buying new hay bags every 4 - 6 months before buying this one. I can certainly recommend this fine product, especially at this price.
Is the purple one completely purple or purple and black?
A shopper on Aug 8, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Purple and Black.
Can this be used to soak hay?
A shopper on Nov 19, 2018
BEST ANSWER: If both sides are webbing yes. Some have fabric on one side which is not as strong so if you want to wet hay daily stick with all webbing hay nags.
What is the best way to hang this in the barn on a flat wall. High low, I have a rubber feeder I have been using and would use it to catch waste?
A shopper on Dec 7, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I use a cross tie ring and just hook the bag straps thru it. Mount it high enough that they can't paw the bag.
How easy is it to fill?
A shopper on May 17, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I have been very happy with the net, I have it on the outside of the square pen, with the stock tank below to catch what falls out I keep them from eating off the ground. Our use a carabiner in the center to keep it shut. It's very easy to fill.
What is the best way to hang this hay bag? I have never used this style before.
Ruby B on Jan 7, 2018
BEST ANSWER: You can hang the bag using the top strap. You can also use the D rings directly to hang it using snaps or clips. As with all hay bags, it should be hung in such a way that the horse cannot be tangled in it.
what is that strap hanging down from the black one in the picture??
Patricia D on Aug 18, 2018
BEST ANSWER: The strap hanging from the bottom is used to secure the bottom part of the bag if you're handing it on a fence or if your stalls have bars, you can use the strap to secure the bottom by wrapping around the bars. I just removed the bottom strap because I use the bags in my stalls and they are hanging on a solid wooden wall.
How large are the holes?
A shopper on Jan 3, 2018
BEST ANSWER: The holes are 2" x 2".
Is it possible to convert to a small tractor tire and secure along the edges? We have Tb's and they kick or chew on anything unless we use rubber. Has anyone converted this to a round container like a tire?
Maggie on Jun 26, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Im not sure how that would work as these are designed to hang with hay in between the woven sides. Not seeing your thought process in design its very hard to speak upon. I might suggest a bale feeder to set the bale inside a tire if you chose. We have them in square and round bales slow feeders.
I'm not able to tell from the picture whether this is round or oval shaped. Would I be able to slip this around a round plastic bucket, approximately 18" in diameter? Also, is there a specific weight capacity in pounds (lbs.)?
Matt C on Jul 5, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes you should be able to put it over the bucket. But weight capacity should be decent. It's made of nylon
