A friend loves hers so I thought I would try them out.
Deborah L on May 7, 2018
Easy to fill, no waste. Bought 3, 3 weeks ago to try, bought 3 more. Bags are different sizes, would prefer all to be the larger size, replaced screws with others, stripped easily. Still a good product and price.
Julie W on Mar 10, 2018
The easiest hay nets to fill, period. I've used dozens of nets, and this is the BEST. I wouldn't use anything else! Get the web net to replace this net when it gets holes in it, and you'll never need to worry about feeding hay again.
Molly B on Mar 8, 2018
my horse eats very fast and this helps a ton! it also makes it so much easier to put hay into.

How much hay can this net hold?
A shopper on Dec 7, 2015
BEST ANSWER: You can change the net to any size you prefer. The net that came with mine was huge! could hold probably half a bale. But we feed about 3 flakes at a time and there's usually still room left in the net. However, if you don't like the net or if it breaks you can change it out.
What is the difference between hay hoops original and hay hoops II?
A shopper on Jul 15, 2018
Hay Hoops II Collapsible Wall Feeder with Net
Hay Hoops II Collapsible Wall Feeder with Net
Hay Hoops Original Collapsible Wall Feeder w/Net
Hay Hoops Original Collapsible Wall Feeder w/Net
BEST ANSWER: The difference between both is that the II moves on hinges and attaches on a latch above, while the original slides up and down. I have the II and am quite happy with them. Once in a while you’ll have to reolace the nets but the system is quite neat
I want to order several of these at this price. How do I go about that?
Lisa H on Apr 7, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Unfortunately, this item cannot be back ordered. The Economy Hay Hoops Wall Hay Feeder with Net is estimated to be in stock on 04/12/2016.
what is the difference between the Hay Hoops ll and the Original Hay Hoop???
Robyn H on Jan 23, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I have and use both versions on a daily basis in my rescue.
NOTE: Always use break-away halters/adapters when using hay nets! (available on this website!)
The Hay Hoops II is hinged on the bottom, and the loader locks in easier, HOWEVER, the easier lock also means the horses can occasionally wiggle it open. The hinge on version II is also weaker (has broken if you force the hay in too hard - however, you can still tie the loader on a board but then it shifts a lot/harder to lock).
The original version is "hinged" as a slide mechanism on the back (slides up to open and again to lock). The lock is more difficult to line up, but is more secure (can also pinch fingers, and if you have horses that catch halters on tops of things, make sure you use break-away halters!). Also, if the lock breaks it is possible to use without the lock at all (on the ones that are mounted outside in full elements, I have had the entire hole that goes over the lock rust off, and I have had the latch break off, but this is after *YEARS* of use outside and I can still use them -- just can't lock those ones).
I LOVE THESE -- they are the best hay savers, and can load most of them one-handed (hay in one hand, can unlock, open, and fill with one hand) -- usually need both hands to close and lock though.
I have even mounted them to trees (tying boards to the front of a tree), and they are very versatile.
As a hint for horses that are particularly aggressive and flip the hay nets up and over fences? I use a short piece of twine to hold down the net on the post or tree it is mounted.
Size? Difference from original?
A shopper on Nov 24, 2018
BEST ANSWER: he only major difference was the way the hoop holds the net. The "original" has hooks similar to a basket ball hoop/net set-up. On Hoops 2 the hoop actually went through the net. I'm not sure how to change the net on the 2, as it was different than what I already had and was just looking to replace the net so it went right back in the box. I found a hay bag (item E006600) with 2" holes that worked perfectly to replace my net!! There were four more loops on the net vs. the hoop, so I just doubled up the corners. I actually think the hay bag replacement is better than the net that the hoop came with.
i am trying to find the replacement net for this frame. anyone know where to just get the net?
A shopper on Oct 9, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I found a replacement at Tractor Supply but most of the net ones will work, just choose the one that has the holes the size you want. Some haynets have really large openings that I dont think work as well with the frame.
Does this close flat to the wall?
R M on Dec 21, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes, it closes flat to the wall, like in the picture. I usually fill it fuller, with 3-4 leafs of hay. The net that it comes with doesn't last very long, I replaced mine with the heavier slow feed haynets, which I need to replace 1 or two times per year, depending on how rough the horse is with the nets. The design of the economy version is nice because it works easily with one hand, BUT, the more expensive version is definitely more heavy duty and last a long time, and easier to replace the net. I have used both versions for over a year and been very pleased.
How big are the holes?
A shopper on Oct 20, 2016
BEST ANSWER: THe description says 2" holes.
How does it latch at the top?
Megan B on Feb 4, 2019
BEST ANSWER: It is really easy, u straighten the metal clasp, put it through the hole on other side, then it hooks back. Kinda hard to explain but really simple. Its my favorite feeder, easy to put the hay in, becuz of the firm square opening.
What are the dimensions?
Carole S on Feb 27, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I can’t remember the exact measurements but it’s big enough to hold a couple flakes of hay. The only problem with this was the horses will grab the bag with their teeth and toss it over the fence. So this would work best up against a wall not a metal fence. Otherwise this was a good product
Is there a video on how to slide the haynet onto the frame?
W E on Jan 11, 2019
BEST ANSWER: The net is already on the hoop for you. One end of the hoop had the ability of unscrewing so you could swap nets if needed. Hope this helps!
Does this only come in a 2", or is there a 1.5" version? I couldn't find it in the item description. Thanks!
Penny on Mar 20, 2018
BEST ANSWER: There is another model Hay Hoops Original Collapsible Wall Feeder w/Net Item # E010419. Size: 12.5" wide x 17" depth (approximate).
What color is it? The picture shows black on black, yet one of the reviews displayed disappointment due to the blue/white/red coloring that was delivered..
caitie k on Jun 21, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I'm sorry. This item does not include a color option. Assorted colors are chosen and shipped at random.
