looks easier to fill the hay net. and you have it already set up on the wall.
Chris H on Feb 22, 2019
Need a feeder for horses. Been using hanging feed nets. Looking for something I can top load rather than remove every single time i need to fill it.
Beverly R on Jan 13, 2019
We have two outside on the fence and they worked so well we wanted to add 2 in their stalls. It definitely stops waste (and hay all over). After the 1st week it was easy to slip the hay into the nets.
Ronald L on Dec 23, 2018
Very easy to use and keeps my horses from gobbling down their hay and having nothing to eat for hours at a time. Also keeps them occupied to help avoid building bad habits out of boredom. This is my second one and I will be buying more in the future.
Tracy N on Nov 28, 2018
Needed a good quality slow feed hay net which was easy to load. Have mare in need of serious weight loose plan (14 hands and 1200 pounds).
Dianne H on Oct 27, 2018
Needed something to slow down my horses and extend the eating time. They will be less bored and require less food because they won't be such pigs if the hay were just laying on the ground lol
N K on Oct 25, 2018
I have seen these before and thought if I ever get my own place I will definitely have these. The time has come!
PATRICIA W on Jul 20, 2018
Best price I have seen for this type of unit. My horses are wasting hay, and I don't want to have to take down and put up hay nets every feeding.
Sandy L on Jun 19, 2018
Just got them in the mail and before I have even hung them up I decided to buy more!!

Needed more cleanliness in the barn, pertaining to hay. Wanted horses to have slow feed, instead of gobbling up their forage. LOVED the idea of collapsible feeders to reserve stall real-estate. Hoping for lasting quality...
JACQUELIN D on Apr 20, 2018
I already have 2 of these for my goats and they are AMAZING!!! The amount of hay wasted is almost non-existent. The only problem I had is that my buck's horns tore a hole in the net, but that is not the fault of the product! It's not at a point where I need to buy a replacement net yet, and even with the hole, there is no more hay wasted than before the hole was there!
Christine M on Mar 11, 2018
Easy to use. Faster to fill.
Winona M on Feb 27, 2018
The hay hoops are extremely easy to use. Solid and durable. Easily mounted to wall. I've placed all 12 hay hoops in the middle of each stall against back wall. There, the horses will not engage each other like corner units for example. Love them!
Patti L on Feb 9, 2018

Easy Load, slow feed
Virginia C on Jan 7, 2017
My gelding can suck down an entire days worth of hay in about 6 hrs. and then wants to know where the rest of the meal is! These hay nets help slow him down. I also got one for my mare who has the bad habit of dragging her hay outside the stall which ends up wasting a lot of hay that gets mixed into the sand and she walks all over it.
Barbara D on May 5, 2016
The feeder is easy to use and saves $$ by having less wasted hay.
Roberta A on Mar 17, 2016
This was a disaster. Hard to fill, metal mechanism collapses, horses tore the bag in no time and I would not use it for anything in shoes.
Lola M on Jan 18, 2016
hoping it is easy to load and will save me from reloading hay multiple times a day to keep a slow feed, free-choice hay option
Lorrie D on Dec 27, 2015
I chose this item to hang in my horse's stall to keep her hay off the ground. Also makes her eat her hay more slowly.
Tammy P on Dec 2, 2015
BASED ON THE REVIEWS I FELT THIS WAS WORTH A TRY, IF IT WORKS AS WELL AS THEY HAVE SAID I WILL MAKE MY MONEY BACK IN NOT HAVING THE WASTED HAY WE HAVE NOW ON THE GROUND DAILY.
herb w on Nov 15, 2015
Friend at my barn just order them for her horses and they are working really well. I have hesitated because of the price, but your 25% discount helped me in making my decision to order now.

If horses get caught In it does it come off?
A shopper on Aug 14, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I'VE HAD MINE FOR SEVERAL YEARS. NEVER WORRIED ABOUT THE GETTING CAUGHT IN IT, BUT I GUESS ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE WITH HORSES. IF SECURED WELL THEY ARE VERY STURDY. IF YOUR TALKING ABOUT SOME SORT OF A BREAK AWAY RELEASE, THEN NO.
Can u buy the hay nets replacement an size of holes please an how big ?
Midnight on May 17, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Yes, a replacement net is available if needed. The holes are no larger than 2"x 2", the hoop currently measures approximately 17.5" x 12.5", and the length of the net is roughly 38" long.

Can this used for pygmie goats?
Ursula L on Jul 25, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I don't see why it wouldn't. I had to replace the net to use with my horses as the spaces in the net were too small for a full grown horse to get to the hay. The net may be just the right size for your goats.
What is the difference between hay hoops original and hay hoops II?
A shopper on Jul 15, 2018
Hay Hoops Original Collapsible Wall Feeder w/Net
Hay Hoops Original Collapsible Wall Feeder w/Net
Hay Hoops II Collapsible Wall Feeder with Net
Hay Hoops II Collapsible Wall Feeder with Net
BEST ANSWER: The difference between both is that the II moves on hinges and attaches on a latch above, while the original slides up and down. I have the II and am quite happy with them. Once in a while you’ll have to reolace the nets but the system is quite neat
how does it lock to the wall?
A shopper on Mar 25, 2018
BEST ANSWER: There is a piece of hardware that works as a latch, you screw the lock into the wall and you are good to go. These feeders work very well to keep the horse eating slow and happy with having hay for longer periods of time. Also helps keep stalls clean and freenofbhay being strew all over the place.
Can you buy replacement nets for this unit. I bought one and the nets tearing ?
Dorene W on Feb 15, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I just bought a regular small hole hay net that I liked, took off the closure string and attached it to the hoop. Had to double up in a few places as the loop count didn’t match exactly, but it was fine. That said, I think they do make replacement nets designed for the hoop.
How big are the square holes?
A shopper on Oct 20, 2017
BEST ANSWER: holes are 2" big. Great for slowing the horse down in eating, You can buy extra nets because they do wear out because the horse will pull on it. Frame will last for a long time. easy to put on a new net, easy to fill
the hay, will hold 3 flakes. Great product.

The metal frame is good for a long time, It's easy to load the hay. Will hold about 3 flakes.
Where can I find replacement hay nets??

How much hay does it hold? A few flakes or more?
A shopper on Dec 30, 2016
BEST ANSWER: They hold quite a bit. I would say 4 flakes as whole flakes. I like to shake my flakes out and press them down so I put in 5-6 flakes. I will never go back to a normal net. As a bonus if your horse breaks the net you can buy any standard hay net and replace it easily.
What is the width of bracket?
Jill M on Nov 15, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The hanging bracket is 2 1/2" wide.

Is the hay hoops feeder, the same size as a basketball hoop?
A shopper on Feb 9, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I have no trouble loading this net although it is not the size of a basketball hoop. I have used one with 2 different horses and one horse ripped it and the other didn't. I appreciate that it slows down my easy keeper and keeps hay off of the ground where it could be urinated on.
Which hay net fits this frame?
A shopper on Nov 18, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I have replaced the original net with the slow feed haynet ($8.88) that Stateline sells. It is vary easy to use especially loading the hay into the net. My mare found that if she pushed the bag against the wall she could eventually rip holes in the bag to get her hay out faster. That was the only drawback as otherwise it is a great system. Threading the new net onto the frame takes a little patience but is not hard to do.
What height do you mount it?
Felicia D on Sep 28, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Using the pictures I found as a guide, I mounted it high enough to keep the bottom of the empty net about one foot off the floor. With the slow feed net, they can't get their foot stuck in it as much. That way they can eat at a more normal height.
I worry about the horse getting a foot caught in any net left in the stall. And this one hangs even lower??? Not sure I would feel safe with it.
A shopper on Sep 9, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I have mine hung higher than what is shown in the picture - the top of it it is probablying about 5 feet from the ground. In addition, I use small mesh hay nets to minimize any risk of a hoof getting caught. I have used it for over a year without incident and my horse loves it. He eats out of the net even with hay on the ground. Slows him down, food lasts longer, healthier for horse mentally and physically.
Is there any way to attach these feeder hoops to vertical stall bars or do the hoops have to be attached to an actual wall?
Polly M on Jun 30, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Thanks Gals. I have my nibble nets hanging from 2 eye bolts and baling twine from the ceilings of my stalls. When I fill the nets, all I have to do is unclip the drawstrings and stuff in the hay. Allllmost as easy as dropping it into these hoops. I guess I'll stick with the method I have going now. Thanks! PM
Nothing's indestructible when dealing w horses but about how long do these last?
Lois K on Apr 5, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Over a period of 3 months, my horses have chewed through a net in two spots. I've remedied that by using baling twine to tie up the hole. A few nets have fraying supports, and I estimate that I'll probably buy a new net once a year, but the hay hoop itself is sturdy and should last for a long time. I have 3 horses and have placed 3 hay hoops in their stalls/shelters and 3 hay hoops on supports spread around my sacrifice paddock. They have worked will to keep my horses busy while still lowering total hay consumption.
What keeps them from eating their hay right from the top?
Lois K on Apr 4, 2014
BEST ANSWER: The photo shows the hay hoop in open position. When the metal rim is pushed down into place, the hay hoop is flat against the wall and horses can't eat from the top. There is also a lock that keeps the hoop from being opened, but our barn siding is warped so we didn't install the lock to avoid having to fiddle with aligning it. Our horses have never tried to pull up on the hoop and it stays in place when you push it down. I've never been a fan of hay bags, but this is an ingenious holder and I love how handy it is to fill. You can put 3 flakes in it easily. The holes are small enough that it keeps the horses from eating too quickly. Great product and I highly recommend it.
How much hay does this feeder hold?
Jane M on Jan 21, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Depending on the size of the flakes, I have put 2-3 flakes in the feeder. These feeders are so easy to load and close. There is much less waste. The holes are fairly small so they have to work a little harder and it makes the hay last a little longer. Other than not being able to install the lock at the top because the surface of the barn is uneven, I would highly recommend these feeders. Even without the lock my horses have never been able to pull them open.
