What size is better for a size 16 saddle? (Medium or Large)
Lilly W on Jun 24, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I think a medium would be better. I have a 17.5 inch saddle and the large if perfect, providing plenty of coverage. A large might have too much of the pad out the back of the saddle
I want this pad to lift my saddle up,in the front. I need to lift at least an inch in the front. Will this pad be able to do that for me?
Julie C on Nov 4, 2018
BEST ANSWER: My saddle was coming down and hitting my horse in the withers. I had the saddle adjusted but due to age of the horse it was suggested to use a Mattis Fold Correction pad. Thenpad worked great because it gave more clearance and my horse didn’t have any issues. I would suggest trying one before buying just to make sure it will do what you want it too. The Mattis pad did lift my saddle up in front but I can’t saynfor sure it it was an inch or more. Since then I have had my saddle rwflocked and i dont need to use the Mattis pad at this time. I would suggest checking with a saddle fitter to see if the Mattis pad is the right choice for your horse.
