Cheap, comfy but not super warm or durable.
I've had these for 3-4 years and rode in them an average of 2x a week. They are only waterproof on the bottom part so i always plan accordingly and wear my muck boots until i ride on slushy/rainy days. They were comfortable from the get go (no breaking in) but the velcro under the back of the knee tends to get annoying especially now that it is not sticking so well. I've worn these in all seasons and in my opinion they are better suited to fall spring and summer not quite warm enough for winter unless i wear two pairs of warm socks underneath (which makes them too tight) They have only just started cracking in the past few months (the biggest complaint in other reviews) so i would say for the price and the length of time i've used them i certainly got my $70 worth.

I thought I had a great buy
I ordered these, and absolutely loved them from the get go. They were a little tight around my calves, but I'm a runner and most boots are. In the fall they were great, but when it started snowing and the weather was very wet, my boots started cracking! I've only had them for 2 months! I will not be purchasing these again. I am very very disappointed with TuffRider. I've always loved their products but this was pathetic.

Terrible, broke after maybe 10 times wearing them
These boots are awful, I understand why they are so cheap for tall boots. First the design is strange because instead of zipping all the way down the back, they zip down and leave a couple of inches in the back which chafes like crazy. I got absolutely awful blisters on the back of my heels wearing these. The boot itself is also very tight and hard to get on, they were very tight on my feet once I finally did get them on.After wearing these boots maybe 10 times, if that, and doing only minimal barn work such as leading horses and instructing (Mostly just walking around really), I looked down and my entire sole of my right shoe was literally hanging off and I hadn't even been stepped on. The glue is so cheap that it didn't even stick the shoe together. I had to wrap duct tape around the shoe to keep it on. I can see if a horse had stepped on me but I was literally just walking. Awful don't purchase.

Warm boots!
I bought these for my granddaughter and she loves them. They are comfy and keep her feet warm when she rides or is in the barn. We live in MI so cold winters are the norm. They run true to size.

broke the second day
I was sooo happy to get these. The first day I got them I wore them to rake leaves and were comfortable and kept my feet dry in the wet grass and leaves. Then the next day I wore them to ride my horse and rode for about 1hour. The next day I went to put them on and noticed a crack across the top of the boot were you bend your foot while walking( I was moving standards around for about 30min the day before) but boots should not crack from walking around in them! I kept wearing them because it snowed and the other boot got a crack in it. They did not keep my feet warm in the snow (20f out that day) so sad with these boots. :(

When I first put these on the fit was a little tight. After wearing them for a few days they fit perfectly now.

Nice looking boots
I got these boots for my daughter to wear around the barn. While she rides western, she liked the look of these. I bought her a half size up based on the reviews and they were fine. The laces at the ankles do stretch so they are not too tight in that area.

Ordered right size - so small I couldn't get them on
I am waiting to get these back to Stateline. I can't even fully evaluate them since the 8.5 that I ordered wouldn't even let me get my feet into that boot. That's my regular size - I have small ankles, but I couldn't get them past the opening to get to the sole of the boot.

It was a little tight. Overall they were great.
It was kind of tight on the back of the ankle.

Do they provide as good as a grip as all leather boots do?
A shopper on Dec 26, 2014
BEST ANSWER: They are made from water-resistant neoprene material and synthetic leather so they will not grip the same way a leather boot does on a leather saddle.
hello im a new rider, my shoe size is 44 european or 11.5 us. want to know my correct size for this product ?
marquineo on Dec 16, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I normally wear a size 8 -8.5 and I purchased 7.5 and they fit great.
What color are they?
Deb K on Nov 30, 2015
I was worried that I would need a wide calf bc a less expensive boot usually runs smaller by nature, but they are true to size and I probably didn't need the wider calf size, besides the material is more forgiving than leather.
Hope this helps!?
Would these boots work for riding? Keep in mind I only ride English at my riding center once a week. I ride Western on my horse at home.
A shopper on Mar 2, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I ride my horse Western and English and use them for both! Not for shows of course.
Are these unbearably hot in the summer?
A shopper on Nov 23, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Nope. I wear mine during the summer with a thin pair of socks and thick socks during the winter. They are great boots because they can go both ways with the temperature. Warm or cool.
Are they warm enough for winter riding?
A shopper on Dec 25, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Absolutely yes -- very warm without being suffocating. However, they fit very snugly. Getting feet in is a challenge without a shoehorn (zipper only goes down to back of ankle) but once boots are on, OK fit and as comfy as riding boots can possibly be!
