My tush hurts in my western saddle and the seat causes me to slip around at times - hoping this will create some padding and keep me from slipping around in my saddle.
Sharon D on Dec 26, 2016
it is a great idea for many reasons. Friends have a trail riding business & we throw it on every once in a while either when its too hot, or for comfort. Great product.

I'm hoping that this is like the Supracor Seat Saver that I bought over 10 years ago that I LOVE. I swear by mine, and if this is the next-best thing (imitation, maybe now that "generics" are available?), I will become their best salesperson.

I am an older rider (64) and need all the cushioning I can get!
Anne C on Oct 17, 2014
Is bit big for my saddle but it is working out . The loop for horn should be made to double wrap any excess out of seat.

I chose this for my old western saddle that has a very hard seat. It is not that much better to be honest. Nice pad, but needed more cushin.

Will this pad fot a 19” western saddle and can it be attached to that saddle without a horn?
Becky on Jun 16, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I think this would fit a 19" saddle, it is a bit too big for my 15" saddle. The horn strap is the primary way to attach it, but it might be possible to attach it a different way.
Does this pad include gel?
Don W on May 8, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Yes it does and very comfortable
Will this fit an Arabian saddle?
A shopper on Apr 10, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I have a 15" western saddle and it is a little long from front to back. If an Arabian saddle is smaller, the pad might be long on it, too. It is also difficult to fasten the rear elastic in a position where it will stay. Neither of these issues have kept us from using the pad. It is very comfortable!
A shopper on Aug 17, 2018
BEST ANSWER: It isn't that thick (5/16th of an inch), but is well-designed. It's a waffle type of rubbery cushion that really works, without causing over-heating. I didn't want a pad that was so thick if would push me up off the saddle, but I had two hip replacements and arthritis and need cushioning. This worked really well. It tends to slip while mounting, but once I'm in the saddle and have it arranged the way I want it, it stays in place and feels very comfortable, even at a seated trot.
This will be protecting my saddle seat which is tan roughout. What is the pad made of on the underside? Will it create waffle indentions on my saddles seat? Is there any possibility of black bleeding if pad were to become wet.
A shopper on Apr 8, 2018
BEST ANSWER: My wife uses this and her saddle seat is a reddish color. There has been no color bleeding or indenting and it is made from the same material that tool box liners are just much more substantial. It is made for slip resistance when riding so your rough out seat, this may be too much slip resistance.
How comfortable is it ? How would it feel ? Want to get something for my brother that won't waste my money
A shopper on Dec 8, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I think it is pretty comfortable, I had one for years and sold it with my old saddle, so I bought a new one. It can be a bit tricky figuring out the best way to fix it to the saddle. I threaded the horn strap through the pommel gap and then put it around the horn. Sticks best to leather or synthetic seats. I would not suggest using if horse bucks.
Do the attacments (front and back stretch) I have a charro saddle which have bigger horn, cantle and seat back?
Peter N on Feb 14, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Yes they do, and it is wonderful. I broke my Coccyx a few yrs ago and it's the only way I can ride now. But I have a Big Horn Saddle and it has a large horn and seat back. Good Luck.
What is this material made of? Why is it called air flow? Is it like the Supracor seat pad that I LOVE because of it's honeycomb construction?
Laura M on Dec 31, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I do not now if it is like the Supracor, since this is the only one I have had, but it works great and has a good grip on the seat, mine is slick w/o it. I broke my coccyx a few yrs back and it works great.
Will this cushion work with an Aussie saddle?
TXMama on Nov 8, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Thanks for the replies everyone. My Aussie does have a horn. And I'm not so much looking for softness, but I am after a little sticky and also a slight filler because my saddle is just a hair on the big side for me, but not enough to want to get a different saddle. I think stick alone would maybe help me out a little. I do some pretty hard trail riding with lots of ups and downs. Enter an answer to this question.
