Proin Chewable Tablets ( Phenylpropanolamine HCl) Signature Is Required Upon Delivery In The Following States: Arkansas, Illinois, Iowa, Louisiana, Oregon, West Virginia Proin is a medication developed to manage urinary incontinence in dogs. Urinary incontinence, or uncontrolled leaking of urine is most frequently seen in spayed female dogs or dogs with obesity. Although less common, male dogs may also experience urinary incontinence. Proin chewable tabs are administered either as a treat or given with food. Item Specifications: For Use: Dogs Dosage: Use as Directed by your Veterinarian How it works: Proin contains the active ingredient phenylpropanolamine, an adrenergic agent that works by tightening the bladder sphincter muscle, which helps to control urine leakage. Prescription items are NON-RETURNABLE and NON REFUNDABLE Storage: Store at Controlled Room Temperature. Caution: Don't give Proin with ephedrine or epinephrine, and don't give it within two weeks of using a MAOi, such as Anipryl, selegiline or a Preventic Collar. Other side effects that may occur include restlessness, irritability, increased heart rate, increased blood pressure and loss of appetite. Continue to give the medication and contact your veterinarian. Other less serious side effects may occur. Contact your veterinarian about any side effects that seem bothersome. Seek emergency veterinary medical treatment. Symptoms of overdose may include increased blood pressure, increased heart rate, seizures or coma.
