Protection - 200 grams of poly fill inside the Thunder 360 Midweight Turnout provides enough extra warmth for most horses on moderately cold days outside or inside a closed barn on winter nights. A 1680 denier heavy duty outer shell is strong, breathable and waterproof to guard against both the elements and horse antics! A removable neck cover, also filled with 200 grams of poly fill, is included. Head-to-tail protection is further enhanced by a longer drop and an extended and gusseted tail flap. Our Thunder 360 Midweight Turnout is fully lined with a soft poly taffeta lining with added fleece padding at the withers to add a final layer of protection for you horses coat.

Durability - The 1680 denier ripstop polyester outer fabric is our toughest turnout, but our Thunder 360 Midweight Turnout blanket has lots of other features designed to stand up to weather and horses! Fray-proof high tensile seat belt quality surcingle with stainless steel hardware stay put and the hardware will withstand mud and snow. Buckle holes are all riveted for longevity and a heavy-duty polypropylene binding adds an extra barrier of protection.

Comfort - Not all horses who wear the same size blanket are the same size, and our Thunder 360 Midweight Turnout was designed with this in mind. It is slightly more generously cut through the shoulder with a front closure that adjusts up to four inches to allow for a customized and comfortable fit. Our neck cover attachment system is just a hook and loop fastener and fabric so there is no metal hardware or snaps against the horses neck and withers, especially when laying down or grazing.

Visibility - High visibility top stitch on the binding combined with reflective strips on the tail flap help you see your horse at dusk when the days are shorter. A bit more visibility is provided by the reflective Equinavia horse head logos inside the shoulder gussets.
