With its simple curved mouthpiece and separate rings for the bit and cheek pieces, this is a good choice for horses that prefer less direct pressure on the bars and tongue, or the benefits of a fixed cheek that is more stable in the mouth. This bit has aflatter shaped lozenge that lays smooth against the tongue allowing more room for the tongue.

The size of the bit is determined by the measurement between the rings. The thickness is measured as the diameter of the mouthpiece at the connection to the ring.
