In addition, the NS Verbindend eradicates tongue evasions by creating a channel for the tongue to lie in allowing the horse to soften and relax through the jaw. Due to the unique curvature of the Verbindend mouthpiece horses with thick lips or fleshy tongues may need a size ¼” larger than they would normally take in other bits with straight mouthpieces. When in doubt we recommend going up to the next size.
