The Reinsman Diamond R Sweet Iron Mouth Fixed Dee Show Snaffle Bit is an attractive snaffle with a 5" mouth and 3" rings. This is a great looking bit with brown iron and German silver star fixed dee cheeks. The fixed dees apply pressure to the horses lip on the opposite side of the face from the rein you pull for better flexion, so it's ideal to ride with two hands and direct rein. This is a great bit for starting horses, training, or maintaining steady contact. The mouthpiece is made of sweet iron and copper inlays. Sweet iron will naturally rust into a light patina. The rust creates a sweet taste for the horse and makes the bit more acceptable to increase salivation for a supple mouth. Copper also causes the horse to salivate to create a softer mouth.
